Former Stonebridge Group director of business partnerships Paul Nye has passed away.

Nye was well known within the mortgage industry having spent more than a decade with Stonebridge before retiring at the end of 2017.

Stonebridge Group managing director Richard Adams paid tribute to Nye: “Paul was with us for 12 years and made us much more than the sum of our parts.

“He was instrumental in the growth and success of Stonebridge Group and was one of the good guys of our industry. He is sorely missed as a colleague but much more as a friend.”

His family have launched a fundraising initiative for three charities close to his heart after he died suddenly last month.

The charities are Mind, the British Heart Foundation and the Kent Autistic Trust.
