The Mortgage Lender expands sales team with five new roles
The Mortgage Lender (TML) has created five new positions to develop closer relationships with more advisers and service growing business volumes.

Three of the new roles were created by internal promotions. TML elevated David Eaves to head of sales and Louise Apollonio to national account manager for the North, while divisional development manager Gordon Rae added Central London introducer relationships to his role.

The promotions resulted in vacancies for a national account manager for the South and two business development managers. The moves increased the size of the field sales team from 11 to 14.

Additionally, two new roles were created in the telephone sales team based in Glasgow. Jamie Broadley joined from Capita and has been appointed as hub team leader. Broadley will recruit an additional telephone business development manager (BDM).

The Mortgage Lender said it pairs field and telephone sales staff to work together covering a geographical region to ensure telephone and face-to-face support.

“We’ve hit our stride as a lender over the past year by investing in product development, expanding the residential range and entering the ex-pat buy to let (BTL) and Help to Buy markets,” said Steve Griffiths, sales director at The Mortgage Lender (pictured).

“This has resulted in record business volumes and driven us to invest in our sales team, so that we can provide greater support for advisers with complex cases and self-employed and specialist BTL customers.

“We will be able to see more brokers face-to-face adding real value to their business and with a telephone BDM as well, they are supported locally and at head office by people they know and trust,” Griffiths added.
