MPowered Mortgages appoints Kane as intermediary distribution head
Fintech mortgage lender MPowered Mortgages has appointed Paul Kane (pictured) as its head of intermediary distribution.

In the role, Kane will oversee the lender’s distribution relationships and key accounts, which cover networks and DA clubs.

His focus will be on ensuring that the firm “continues to deliver the best possible service to its intermediary partners as part of the firm’s focus on expanding its prime residential business”.

Kane has worked at MPowered Mortgages for around a year as a corporate account manager, and prior to that worked for over 17 years at Natwest in various roles.

This most recently included head of sales, regional business development manager and senior corporate account manager.

Kane’s appointment comes after Emma Hollingworth was appointed as managing director of mortgage for the company, having held the role of distribution director previously.

MPowered Mortgages: ‘Help deliver best service for brokers’

Hollingworth said: “We are delighted to announce Paul’s new role as head of intermediary distribution. He has a wealth of experience in this industry and a deep understanding of both the nuances of this market and of brokers’ businesses.

“We believe that his insight and experience will enable us to continue to grow our business as well deliver the best possible service for our broker partners.”

Kane said: “In this new role, I’m excited to continue to grow our prime residential business as well as importantly enhance the service we offer brokers whose needs are changing all the time. Since we launched our prime residential range in March this year, I’m delighted that we have continued to grow our network of broker partners to over 7,400.

“We hope to expand this further, working with our broker partners to make our prime residential range accessible to more and more homebuyers and remortgagers.”

MPowered Mortgages recently partnered with Fluent Money to offer its prime residential range and has had its prime residential policy added to L&G SmartrCriteria.

Primis Mortgage Network has also added the lender to its panel in recent weeks.

The lender has also opened an office in Leeds and hired 18 people to the new hub.
