Aldermore promotes Edge to key account manager
Aldermore has appointed Kelsey Edge as key account manager, a promotion from relationship manager.

In her role, she will support Steve Hewitt and James Young in the development and growth of the lender’s key distribution partners and work on brand awareness.

Edge has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry, starting her career as mortgage customer services supervisor at Halifax.

She has worked at Aldermore since 2014 as a relationship manager, taking a role as intermediary sales manager at Nottingham Building Society between 2016 and 2017.

Before that, she was a business development manager (BDM) at GE Capital and The Co-operative Bank.

Edge has also held roles at Mortgage Force and Future Finance.

Aldermore: ‘Cracking customers’ complex challenges’

Caroline Mirakian, head of national accounts at Aldermore, said: “It’s an absolute pleasure to promote Kelsey. Brokers want to be reassured that lenders will retain key professionals they know they can trust, which is why we’re keen to grow talent from within our business.

“Her wealth of experience, along with our team’s deep expertise, enables us to make more nuanced decisions, while ensuring we don’t penalise people because they’ve had gaps in their employment history or a less than perfect credit history.”

Edge added: “With the UK facing a difficult economic outlook, people need a different type of bank, one that gets finance where it’s needed as efficiently as possible.

“We’ve long been committed to better understanding our customers, and I’m excited to continue working with our broker partners to help crack their customers’ complex challenges together.”

Aldermore has been growing its team over the pat few months, hiring Mirakian and appointing Andy Rowe as national sales manager for the South of England.

The firm also appointed Ross Dalzell as a managing director for property division.
