Catalyst appoints servicing manager; MFS hires general counsel – round-up
Short-term lender Catalyst has recruited Sophie Rose as servicing manager.

She will work alongside and report into Amy Rickman, head of servicing, to manage the lender’s loan book and help borrowers with their post-completion queries. 

Rose has over 12 years of experience in customer service roles and was part of the first team at Liverpool Victoria to be cross trained across different departments to implement a ‘one call resolution’ system. 

She has also been hired in underwriting roles at Nationwide and Positive Lending.  

Rickman said: “I am really excited to have Sophie join the Catalyst team. Sophie has previous experience in the property industry that she will be able to apply to the servicing manager role.  

“Her enthusiastic attitude is a great attribute when assisting borrowers with all their post-completion queries. This allows Catalyst to really focus on supporting our borrowers to ensure they never miss a good opportunity.’’

MFS appoints Ryan Magee as general counsel 

Bridging and buy-to-let lender Market Financial Solutions (MFS) has appointed Ryan Magee as its general counsel.  

He has 15 years of experience working as a legal professional in the real estate sector, including property and corporate finance. 

Magee trained as a solicitor at Allen and Overy before becoming senior associate for real estate finance and corporate lending team at the company. He worked for Allen and Overy for nine years. 

He also worked for OakNorth Bank for four years as senior director for legal and transaction management. 

At MFS, Magee will provide legal counsel related to the lender’s operations as it embarks on its growth strategy. 

Magee (pictured, left) said: “I’m delighted to have joined MFS. The company has a stellar track record, and its growth over recent years has been hugely impressive. I was immediately struck by the leadership’s ambitious plans – there is a clear collective goal to expand the business, constantly deliver better products and services, and provide unwavering support to the broker and investor communities.
