One Mortgage System (OMS) has hired two telephone business development managers (BDMs) to bolster its sales support team.

Ahmet Tunsay and Matt Jones will be responsible for “driving business growth and cultivating client relations” in the role as telephone BDMs.

Tunsay joins from Giving Mortgages where he was a BDM for around a year and before that, worked as a mortgage broker at Better.co.uk for around four years.

Prior to that, Tunsay worked at Natwest for around three years, initially as a personal banker and then worked his way up to personal mortgage adviser.

Jones has worked in financials services for around 27 years, starting his career at Prudential and Zurich before going into the fintech space in 2002 as a BDM at O&M systems.

The company was bought in 2020 by Iress, leading him to move to an account manager role before becoming national sales manager at Twenty7tec.

Neal Jannels, managing director of OMS, said: “Ahmet and Matt are two key additions to a sales support team which continues to drive the business and their unique skill sets, market knowledge and commitment will prove invaluable in helping to deliver the ambitious growth strategy that we currently have in place.

“2024 is already on course to be a record year for OMS and the quality of these appointments reflect the remarkable success and growth we have already achieved in such a relatively short space of time. And this is only beginning as our loan origination platform is already generating significant levels of interest across the mainstream lending community.”

The company has been growing its team, hiring Kevin Blount, formerly at Clever Mortgages, as its operations head.

OMS recently launched an originations platform for banks, building societies and specialist lenders, and obtained its ISO 270001 certification, which is a standard for information security management systems (ISMS) that gives firms an approach to manage and protect sensitive information.
