Wright brings more than 25 years of experience in technology leadership to the role and will join SBG’s executive team to drive its transformation and deliver a more technology-led future for advisers.
Before joining the group, Wright co-founded two software-as-a-service (SaaS) businesses and led global engineering teams. He has also developed platforms that processed billions of transactions and created new revenue streams through product innovation.
The group said that as a proactive partner for life to brokers, SBG will leverage technology to help advisers deliver good outcomes for clients.
Alongside Wright’s appointment, the group has also promoted Chris Egerton to head of technology and hired Matt Speed as head of continuous improvement.
SBG said these changes would enhance its leadership as it progresses with its transformation agenda.
