Acre has integrated with Halifax to allow mortgage brokers to run decisions in principle (DIPs) directly through the intermediary platform.

This partnership has increased the percentage of residential cases that can be directly submitted through Acre via APIs to more than 50%.

Acre said this would give brokers more freedom and flexibility when securing a mortgage from Halifax for clients, and achieve a DIP in “record time”. Brokers will be able to source products and submit applications within the Acre platform in “one click”.

The firm said this would speed up client outcomes and enhance product sourcing flexibility.

The integration is currently being trialled by a selected number of Acre users and will soon be widely available.

Justus Brown, founder and CEO of Acre, said: “Our mission to modernise the home buying process means bringing all stakeholders – from the broker to the lender – on the digitalisation journey with us.

“This new integration with Halifax is a significant step for us in becoming the go-to technology that brokers need to achieve the right mortgage from leading lenders for any client first time, every time.”

Frances Cassidy, head of strategic and technology partnerships at Halifax, added: “Reimagining the home buying process involves finding new ways to make it as smooth as possible for brokers to work with us. Acre’s innovative approach to simplifying the mortgage journey reflects our own commitment to rethinking and digitising how people buy homes.

“We are thrilled to be collaborating with Acre and look forward to developing a long-term partnership.”
