Commercial arm of the Principality adds three managers to support growth
The commercial arm of Wales’s largest building society, the Principality, has hired three senior managers as part of it ambition to grow its business.

Principality Commercial provides funding for the acquisition and re-financing of investment properties, such as offices, industrial, retail and residential. It also funds residential and commercial developments and is a committed player in the affordable housing sector.

In its attempt to drive business forward it has hired Jan Quarrington as social housing manager, Jim Brook as head of the relationship team, and John Union as a corporate consultant.

Having previously worked in corporate banking, Quarrington joins from the housing association sector company Pobl, Brook arrives from RBS Group where he worked for 29 years in various corporate banking roles, while Union was formerly the head of corporate banking in Wales for Barclays.

Peter Hughes, managing director at Principality Commercial, said: “We have have built a reputation over the past 15 years for delivering tailored commercial property funding solutions and I’m happy that we now have in place a strong senior management team to help implement our strategy.”
