Pepper Money and Mint Bridging have promoted senior members of staff.

Pepper Money has promoted Clare Jarvis (pictured) to head of intermediary distribution.

Jarvis joined the lender in April as head of national accounts and will have responsibility for national accounts, telephony sales, sales support and a team of regional development managers.

She will work closely with Paul Adams, who was recently appointed from Santander as Pepper’s new sales director to replace Rob Barnard.

Clare has more than 20 years in financial services including experience working as an underwriter, broker and packager along with senior sales roles at Santander, New Street and Accord.

Jarvis said she was excited about developing the role.

“I am looking forward to working more closely with our distribution partners and driving Pepper’s strategy through our experienced and talented sales team,” she added

Pepper Money chief commercial officer Bob Golden said 2018 had seen a huge increase in volumes over previous years.

“Clare has been instrumental to this success and I wish her every success in her new role as we continue our growth ambitions into 2019.”

Mint Bridging promotes head of underwriting

Mint Bridging has promoted Richard Showman from head of underwriting to the newly created head of lending position.

Showman had held the position since joining Mint in September 2015.

He has previously worked in a variety of senior financial services and property related roles in a career which dates back to 1990, and he is also a chartered surveyor.

The role provides the opportunity to take a more strategic position in the business.

It includes work with Mint’s lawyers, valuers and quantity surveyors, as well as provision of additional support for funders.

Mint said he would continue to play a significant part in day-to-day decision-making for new lending opportunities, alongside being more involved in overseeing the management of the company’s loan book.

Mint Bridging managing director Andrew Lazare said “Richard has been at the centre of our lending management for over three years and our recent success could not have occurred without his considerable commitment, care and expertise.

“I am delighted that we have been able to reward his hard work with this newly created position, and I am confident that he will be at the heart of the success of our business for many years to come.”

Showman added: “I am incredibly pleased to be able to step up into a new responsibility which has been tailor-made for me.

“This position gives me exposure to almost every part of the company, particularly delivering growth success in 2019 and the long term.”
