Century Capital hires broker support team as Avamore plans underwriting growth – roundup
Century Capital has expanded its broker support team with two members of staff, while Avamore is planning to further grow its underwriting team.

Century Capital has hired Andreas Yianni as business development manager and Ben Charkham as case manager.

Yianni and Charkham have joined the bridging lender from Smart Pension and Amicus, respectively.

Yianni brings over 12 years’ experience to the company having also worked for brokerages, including Enness Private Clients and Largemortgageloans.com.

Charkham previously worked as commercial loan assistant at Fincorp and as a commercial management surveyor at Willmotts Chartered Surveyors.

Avamore to expand underwriting team

Avamore is set to grow its underwriting team, as part of the plans aimed at completing its 2019 lending target.

Zuhair Mirza, principal at Avamore, said: “We value great staff and as such we have shown that we will accommodate and be supportive for those seeking growth opportunities in their personal careers.

“We hope that in 2019 we will expand once again, taking a controlled and measured approach to ensure that Avamore is backed by the right people.”

Avamore’s credit analysis team grew notably last year, with its four principals joined by Chris Treadwell, Henry Manley-Cooper and Michael Xilas.

Treadwell was been appointed as transaction and underwriting associate, Henry Manley-Cooper as transaction analyst and Michael Xilas as analyst. Further, Chloe Stidston-Lewis has been promoted to underwriter.

The business as a whole will be supported by Toran Selim, recently hired as asset management analyst.

He will be working closely with Nikolay Petkov, principal to ensure business performance transparency is consistently maintained internally, with Avamore borrowers and also with its investors.

Michael Dean, Zuhair Mirza, Nikolay Petkov and Amit Majithia remain as principals of the company.

Internal promotions also include Emma Naylor’s move from junior relationship manager to operations associate, while Sabinder Sandhu has been promoted from marketing co-ordinator to marketing manager.
