Sellwood (pictured) joins from Praetura Group, where he was a business development manager for two and a half years. He has previously worked on the broking side, as well as for lenders.
His recruitment follows the appointment of Rachael Foulis as regional director in Scotland, with Ultimate Finance stating that its recruitment drive is aimed at boosting growth off the back of its record performance last year. The funder said that its figures for Q1 show a 30 per cent increase in new business written compared with the previous quarter.
Richard Hamilton, head of sales at Ultimate, said that Sellwood had a “proven track record” and that his “strong network offers us a real opportunity to support even more introducers and their clients with asset finance facilities”.
He continued: “2022 marks our 20th birthday with over £10bn delivered for SMEs in this time. We will continue to focus on providing value-add funding solutions and being recognised as a leading SME lender, with best-in-class tech-enabled personal service as our differentiator to create long lasting, meaningful relationships.”
