First 4 Bridging, the mortgage packager, has announced that it will now be known as Envelop.

Its network proposition, the F4B Network, will also be rebranding to Envelop Network.

The business said that while its brand had been well established over the previous couple of decades, it had become limiting given both the packager and network now handle a growing level of enquiries for non-bridging products such as complex residential transactions, buy to let, second charge and commercial loans.

Last month, Envelop announced that its network had passed the 100 appointed representative (AR) milestone.

Myles Williams, CEO at Envelop, noted there are “ambitious growth plans” in place for both the packager and network businesses, pointing out that both branches of Envelop had evolved in line with the changes in the specialist lending market.

He continued: “We will certainly not be turning our back on bridging finance as this is what we are best known for, but growing demand from our introducers and intermediary partners dictates that we need to have a strong presence in all areas of the specialist markets to deliver the type of solutions which can make a real difference to their clients and their business.”
