InterBay has expanded its legal panel, in a move which it argues will help speed up applications for commercial and semi-commercial borrowers.

The lender has added Harold Benjamin, Insight Law and JMW Solicitors to its panel. InterBay said that the additions would mean that brokers and borrowers enjoyed a greater range of options.

It explained that it had opted to expand its legal panel after holding a host of workshops with brokers which were aimed at getting a better understanding of the challenges intermediaries face, as well as devise ways to improve the broker journey.

‘Expansion of legal panel invaluable to brokers’

Emily Hollands (pictured), head of specialist finance at OSB Group ‒ InterBay’s parent group ‒ noted that all three legal firms were well regarded and their expertise would offer increased choice, as well as provide additional support during the mortgage process.

Russell Hall, director of broker SPF Private Clients, added: “The expansion of the legal panel in InterBay is invaluable to brokers and their clients. The legal panel provides reputable solicitors that understand brokers and their requirements which is crucial to getting cases completed.

“The expansion is a huge win for InterBay and shows the intent they have in their drive to be best in class lender.”

Earlier this month, OSB appointed environmental, social and governance (ESG) specialists to support its social commitments.
