OSB promotes Brain to BDM for central region
Specialist lender OSB Group has promoted Samantha Brain from the role of office-based business development manager (BDM) to a customer-facing external BDM position.

Brain joined the lender in 2019 and in her new role will cover the central region. She will join the lender’s other field-based BDMs in supporting brokers find solutions with Precise Mortgages and Kent Reliance for Intermediaries.

Before joining OSB, Brain worked on the advisory side as a mortgage and protection consultant at Bairstow Eves Countrywide, a mortgage and protection adviser at Amethyst Property Solutions and a mortgage consultant at Beneficial Mortgages.

Brain’s new role follows the recent promotions of Emily Hollands who was appointed group head of distribution, and Marc Callaghan who took on Hollands’ previous role as head of specialist finance.

‘Perfectly placed to help support brokers’

James Forth, head of sales at Precise Mortgages and Kent Reliance for Intermediaries, said: “I’m delighted that Samantha has joined our field-based BDM team. The knowledge and expertise she brings from her role as office-based BDM will not only help to strengthen relationships but knowledge of internal processes and teams means she is perfectly placed to help support brokers throughout their lending journeys.

“We have a strong focus on developing colleague knowledge and skills to provide opportunities for career growth through our extensive in-house training programmes as well as mentoring and coaching opportunities. It’s something that we take very seriously and I’m delighted that Sam has chosen to continue her career path with us.”

Brain (pictured) added: “I’ve always felt well supported with my career development and growth. Having worked closely with the field-based BDMs in my role as office-based BDM, I’ve learnt so much and I’m looking forward to joining the field team and meeting my broker clients.”
