Real estate lender Leumi UK has appointed Neil Kermode as its business development director.

In his role at Leumi UK, Kermode will spearhead the generation of new business leads in the real estate market, with a focus on large loans.

Kermode joins from Canary Wharf Group, where he worked for around 27 years, most recently as the director and head of development finance.

In the role, he oversaw the “structuring, origination, negotiation, and implementation of complex development finance structures, including construction finance facilities, investment facilities, and unsecured lending”.

Prior to Canary Wharf Group, he worked at Taylor Joynson Garret and En-Tout-Cas Holding. He has also worked as a quantity surveyor.

Peter Clayton, head of property finance at Leumi UK, said: “Neil’s extensive industry experience and expertise in originating, structuring, and executing complex finance structures makes him the perfect addition to our team, and will be invaluable as we continue to push for growth.
