Aspen Bridging said the appointment was in recognition of his “significant contribution” to the business.
He joined the lender in 2019 as part of the underwriting team through Aspen’s Graduate Recruitment Scheme.
In 2023, Khalique was appointed to the management team and helped with the development of the underwriting team, taking on the role of head of underwriting in 2024 after he completed a master’s degree in real estate and finance.
As a director, Khalique will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the underwriting team, strategic input and process enhancement and the organisation of wider training.
As part of the wider management team, he will support Aspen in its goal of exceeding £1bn in lending.
