She will be based in the Manchester office and report to Paul Gavin, head of sales.
In her new role, Charlotte will act as a key point of contact for brokers, helping them manage cases from initial enquiry through to completion, while ensuring they have clear and consistent access to Alternative Bridging Corporation’s lending expertise.
Wilson said she’d chosen to work with Alternative Bridging Corporation because of its approach to dealing with brokers and the emphasis placed on being responsive, practical and easy to deal with.
She said: “Having worked closely with intermediaries for a number of years, I understand how important it is to have that reliable point of contact, particularly when dealing with more complex scenarios. I am looking forward to building those relationships and supporting brokers.”
With nine years in the financial services industry, Wilson has expertise in specialist lending, intermediary sales and telephony-based business development.
Gavin said the appointment “strengthens our ability to support brokers at every stage of the process, particularly when it comes to more complex or time-sensitive cases”.
“She brings a strong understanding of how brokers work day-to-day, alongside hands-on experience of supporting cases through to completion. That combination is important, because it means brokers can pick up the phone and speak to someone who understands both the details of the case and the pressures around it. As we continue to grow, maintaining that level of accessible and knowledgeable support remains a key focus for us,” he added.
Funding for growth
Wilson’s appointment comes just days after Alternative Bridging Corporation announced an institutional funding facility with Quilam Capital to increase its funding capacity.
The facility includes an initial committed amount of £70m, with further capacity up to £150m available for future growth, enabling the lender to be more flexible and lower the overall cost of capital.
