Berkeley Alexander, has appointed two new Business Development Managers (BDMs).

The general insurance provider said the move was part of company plans for incremental growth, with further recruitment expected, following a 66% increase in sales through intermediaries last year.

Both BDMs join Berkeley Alexander with years of client services experience in the industry.

Dan Sharp joins from Towergate where he was responsible for client services, dealing mainly with household, high net worth, property owners and commercial insurance lines.

Scott Clarke is returning to Berkeley Alexander following a three year sabbatical to earn a degree. Previously, he spent four very successful years with Berkeley Alexander as a client services adviser.

Geoff Hall, managing director of Berkeley Alexander, said: “Scott and Dan will offer additional resource to our BDM team, to support this current and future growth.
