KRS to offer estate planning
Key Retirement Solutions (KRS) is to expand its estate planning service to allow it become a standalone proposition which can be
accessed by all brokers.
The service, which includes will writing and Inheritance Tax planning, will now accept estate planning referrals. Until now, the estate planning side of the firm was only provided alongside the equity release proposition. The new service will be rolled out over the coming weeks to new and existing partners. As part of the expansion, KRS will increase its estate planning staff from three to six.
Dean Mirfin, group director at KRS, said the expansion of the referral propositions was central
to the growth and development of the business.
He added: “In the past two years, we have seen a continued focus on the area of equity release
and estate planning among brokers who wish to share in the revenues available and we have
put in place a referral process.”
Jon King, managing director of Hodge Lifetime, said it was a sensible move for KRS to maximise value from their services.
He said: “Estate planning and equity release are both detailed areas which need advice, so it
good that one specialist can give advice on both these areas.”
