The Exeter appoints Chris Pollard as chief operating officer

Health and protection insurer The Exeter has hired Chris Pollard as chief operating officer.

 

He will take a place on both the full and executive boards at the mutual, assuming responsibility for operations, underwriting and claims from March 2019.

Pollard previously worked as a consultant, with clients that included EY, LV and Prudential.

In his most recent role Pollard was responsible for a multi-site operation, encompassing claims and underwriting policies.

Prior to this he worked as chief underwriter at Bupa and head of underwriting, claims and operations at Friends Life.

Andy Chapman, chief executive at The Exeter, said: “Chris joins at a really exciting time for the business and I look forward to welcoming him to our team.
