Luke Christodoulides has been appointed head of distribution at conveyancing distributor firm Conveybuddy.

He joins from NatWest, where he worked for over 22 years in senior broker-facing roles, including field area sales manager, corporate account manager, head of corporate accounts and national account manager.

At Conveybuddy, Christodoulides will lead the development and growth of its distribution strategy through relationships with mortgage networks, clubs, larger advisory firms and other industry partners.

Conveybuddy said this was the first appointment of its kind for the business, demonstrating its intention to broaden its reach and form relationships with large distributor and intermediary firms.

The company recently passed its second year of business, following its launch in September 2024, and over that time, it has expanded its conveyancing panel and added survey instructions and an all-inclusive remortgage proposition.

Conveybuddy has also increased the number of panel firms fully integrated with its technology.

Conveybuddy has also promoted Rachel Payne to sales manager, after her return from maternity leave. She will lead its account management team and day-to-day relationships with broker users.

Harpal Singh, CEO of Conveybuddy, said: “I can’t stress enough what a major appointment Luke is for Conveybuddy. Not just because of the exceptional level of experience and knowledge of the intermediary mortgage market he brings with him, but also because of what it signals for us as a business, and the ambitions we have for it, particularly within the distributor sector.

“We have reached a point in Conveybuddy’s development where we want to build much broader relationships across the intermediary market, while making sure the growth we have achieved over the last two years is supported by the right people and the right distribution strategy.”

Singh said Christodoulides understood how networks, clubs and intermediary businesses operated, and notably, “understands that strong distribution relationships have to deliver value on both sides”.

He added: “We want more advisers to recognise conveyancing as an important part of the service they provide to clients, rather than something [that] sits outside the mortgage advice process, and Luke will play a major role in helping us achieve that.

“We have hugely ambitious plans for the business and Luke’s appointment is an important part of them. His experience, relationships and understanding of the intermediary market will help us broaden our reach considerably, while ensuring we continue to build the business around long-term relationships with advisers and our industry partners.”

Christodoulides (pictured) said: “Having spent more than a number of decades working within the intermediary mortgage market, I’ve seen first-hand how important strong relationships are between advisers, networks, clubs and the businesses that support them.

“Conveybuddy has achieved a great deal in a relatively short period of time, and what particularly attracted me to the business was the opportunity to take its proposition to a much wider distributor and intermediary audience.

“Conveyancing is an integral part of the property transaction and there is a real opportunity for advisers to remain much closer to that process, helping their clients make informed choices about their conveyancer and having greater visibility once the case is underway.

“I’m looking forward to working with networks, mortgage clubs, intermediary firms and industry partners across the UK, building new relationships and partnerships [that] can support the next stage of Conveybuddy’s growth.”
