Two Countrywide-owned broker firms join M. Intelligence
Slater Hogg Mortgages and Hurst Independent are the first two Appointed Representatives to join the Mortgage Intelligence network since its acquisition by Countrywide.

Property services group Countrywide said it made the decision to move two of its independent distributors from Sesame to Mortgage Intelligence, with both set to move at the end of their 12-month notice period in March 2012.

Nigel Stockton, financial services director said: “I’d like to thank Sesame for being such a valuable partner and we look forward to Hurst and Slater Hogg working with Mortgage Intelligence and Sally Laker to create new opportunities for these companies to build on their successful track record in Financial Services.”

In 2010 and 2009 Hurst won Overall Broker of the Year and Slater Hogg won the same award in 2008. Both firms generated a combined £400m of mortgage business in 2010, said Countrywide.

Sally Laker, managing director of Mortgage Intelligence said: “We are delighted to have both Slater Hogg and Hurst Independent join our network and I look forward to seeing how the Mortgage Intelligence can add value to their business and their clients”
