FCA to headline at Manchester Financial Services Expo
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has announced it will be the principal speaker at the Financial Services Expo in Manchester, to be held on 20 May.

Keith Hale, technical mortgage specialist for the FCA, will provide the regulator’s view on how the MCOB rules have been amended in order to implement the European Mortgage Credit Directive (MCD).

He will provide an update on the current issues which the FCA has been asked to interpret.

The Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) has helped to put together the programme which will see speakers cover topics such as market development, the post-election landscape and product opportunities.

AMI’s chief executive Robert Sinclair will discuss what the current state of the economy, housing and mortgage market will mean for adviser and lenders while a member of the Equity Release Council will analyse the development of the equity release sector.

A line up of lenders including Aldermore, Nationwide and Precise along with specialist distributors will engage in a panel debate to end the day.

The event will be held at The Emirates, Old Trafford, Manchester.
