Ex-Virgin Money John Truswell joins CHL for Intermediaries
Ex-Virgin Money head of national accounts John Truswell has joined Capital Home Loans (CHL) after announcing his resignation from Virgin in April this year.

Truswell took up the role of head of national accounts on 1 September.

He is the second senior figure to leave Virgin for CHL, following Richard Tugwell’s departure in February when he left the intermediary sales director role.

The lender is developing a buy-to-let range which it will offer under the CHL for Intermediaries brand.

CHL stopped lending in 2008, before managing director Bob Young left the firm in 2014 to start up specialist buy-to-let lender Fleet Mortgages.

Tugwell, now commercial director at CHL, said: “We are delighted that John has joined the team at CHL for Intermediaries. He brings a wealth of experience and in his new role as head of national accounts he will play a major role in helping to shape our future.”

It’s initial launch date was earmarked for mid-2016 according to a statement on its website before the summer. The statement has since been removed. CHL would not disclose its revised mortgage launch date.
