Scottish Building Society has temporarily paused new applications on certain ranges to allow it to maintain its current service levels.
Mortgages for new guest house, holiday let, self-build and residential discount borrowers will be withdrawn at 5pm on 18 August.
Pending applications can be submitted until the products are pulled. The mutual has encouraged brokers to call business development managers with any questions.
Stephen Brown, head of intermediaries, said: “We are currently experiencing unprecedented demand for our products.
“In order to allow us to maintain our levels of service to brokers and members, we have taken the decision to focus on our core offering – giving our members the opportunity to purchase residential properties.”
He added: “We plan to re-introduce the full range in the near future.”
