West One Loans adds SimplyBiz to broker distributor panel
Specialist lender West One Loans has brought SimplyBiz Mortgages to its residential mortgage intermediary panel as part of plans to expand its distribution.

From today, directly authorised brokers with SimplyBiz Mortgages can access West One’s range of specialist residential mortgage products.

Brokers can also access West One Loans’ first charge range through a network of specialist distributors associated with SimplyBiz Mortgages. This includes Brightstar, Crystal Specialist Finance and Impact.

SimplyBiz Mortgages is the one of three largest mortgage clubs in the UK and supports around 4,300 intermediaries.

West One Loans’ residential range is targeted at borrowers with “non-standard borrowing requirements”. This includes self-employed borrowers, older applicants and those with credit scores that don’t fit high street lender criteria.

Marie Grundy (pictured), managing director of residential mortgages and second charges at West One Loans, said: “SimplyBiz Mortgages is one of the biggest and most respected distributors in the UK mortgage market, so we are thrilled to be able to add them to our residential intermediary panel.

“We believe demand for specialist lending will soar over the coming years. And, with this new partnership in place, we will be able to reach more of the millions of borrowers out there who need finance but who fall foul of mainstream criteria.”

Underserved UK mortgage borrowers

She added: “Our residential proposition is evolving fast and over the coming weeks and months we want to ensure more and more brokers are able to access our products so we can play our part in serving those who are disenfranchised in the current market.”

Martin Reynolds, chief executive of SimplyBiz Mortgages, said: “There is absolutely no doubt that demand for specialist finance is growing, so it’s vitally important we have plenty of options for those who don’t fit mainstream criteria.

“Having access to the new West One residential range is another positive solution for our brokers, who gain a valuable option for clients who have non-standard requirements. It also demonstrates our commitment to the specialist market and to finding solutions for borrowers who have precious few options in the current environment.

“We are two organisations that share common values and so I am extremely confident this partnership will turn out to be a long and fruitful one for both of us.”
