HSBC said this was the first time all purchase and first-time buyer rates have been under 5% since 2022. All of its mortgage rates can be found here.
On the purchase side, residential rates have been cut by up to 0.2%, including its two-year fixed rate at 95% loan to value (LTV) with no fee for purchase and first-time buyers standing at 4.99%.
In its remortgage range, two- and five-year residential rate reductions have been made, with its two- and five-year fixed rates at 60% LTV with a £999 fee coming to 3.89% for non-premier and 3.84% for premier.
Within its BTL range, pricing has fallen by around 0.25%. Its two-year fixed rate at 60% LTV with a £3,999 fee stands at 3.79%, while it is 4.04% with a £1,999 fee.
On the switcher side, its two-year fixed rate at 60% LTV with a £999 fee for existing premier customers stands at 3.79%.
In its international range, residential rates have fallen by up to 0.17%.
TSB lowers resi, PT and additional borrowing fixed rates
TSB will cut selected residential, product transfer and additional borrowing rates by up to 0.15% from 2 May.
Within its residential range, its two-year fixed remortgage deal between 60% and 85% LTV will fall by around 0.15%.
The lender’s five-year fixed remortgage products will decrease by up to 0.25%.
In its product transfer range, residential two-year fixed rates from 60% to 85% LTV have fallen by around 0.15%.
In the additional borrowing range, residential two-year fixed rates from 60% to 80% LTV have decreased by around 0.1%.
Coventry BS reduces resi, BTL and limited company rates
Coventry Building Society has lowered selected fixed rates, with residential, BTL and limited company deals all impacted.
Highlights include its two-year fixed rate at 65% LTV with a £999 fee for residential purchase, which is priced at 3.96%.
Its five-year fixed BTL remortgage rate at 65% LTV with a £1,999 fee is priced at 4.29%. This comes with £350 cashback or remortgage transfer service.
Jonathan Stinton, head of intermediary relationships at Coventry Building Society, said: “We’re starting to see more rates dip below 4%, which is a positive sign for homebuyers and a welcome shift for brokers supporting them.
“In line with favourable swap moves, we’ve reduced rates across our residential, buy-to-let and limited company buy-to-let ranges to help brokers offer competitive options in a gradually improving market.”
Principality BS slashes resi, BTL and HTB rates
Principality Building Society will lower selected residential, BTL and Help to Buy rates by up to 0.3% from 6 May.
Within its residential range, two-, three- and five-year fixed rates will fall by 0.24%, 0.16% and 0.04% respectively.
At 75% LTV, two-, three- and five-year fixed rates will decrease by up to 0.18%, 0.08% and 0.06%.
Two- and three-year fixed rates at 80% LTV will decrease by around 0.17% and five-year deals will fall by 0.09%.
At 85% LTV, two-, three- and five-year fixed rates will decline by around 0.09%, 0.2% and 0.3%.
Two- and three-year fixed rates at 90% LTV will go down by 0.1% and five-year fixed rate deals will decrease by 0.09%.
Two- and five-year fixed rate deals at 95% LTV will fall by 0.1%.
In its residential mortgages with cashback range, two- and five-year fixed rates at 65% LTV will decrease by 0.25% and 0.05%.
At 75% LTV, two- and five-year fixed rates will fall by 0.17% and 0.05% respectively, while at 80% LTV, two-year deals will fall by 0.13% and five-year deals will decrease by 0.09%.
Going up to 85% LTV, two- and five-year fixed rates will reduce by 0.1% and 0.3%, while at 90% LTV, two-year deals will go down by 0.13% and five-year deals will decline by 0.02%.
In its joint borrower sole proprietor (JBSP) range, two- and five-year deals at 75% LTV will fall by 0.09% and 0.05% respectively, while at 80% LTV, two- and five-year products will decrease by 0.17% and 0.09%.
Going up to 85% LTV, two- and five-year fixed rates will fall by 0.09% and 0.3%, while at 90% LTV, two- and five-year deals will go down by 0.07% and 0.09%.
Within its BTL range, five-year fixed rates at 60% LTV will fall by up to 0.15%, 70% LTV deals will decrease by 0.1%, and at 75% LTV, rates will decline by up to 0.13%.
For Help to Buy Wales deals, two- and five-year fixed rates at 75% LTV will go down by 0.16% and 0.32%.
Principality Building Society added that its two-year residential tracker deals at 65% LTV will decrease by 0.03%.
