HLPartnership has appointed Matthew Creswell as senior recruitment manager to further strengthen its recruitment capability as the network targets adviser growth.

Creswell will focus on supporting recruitment and the onboarding of mortgage and protection firms across the South, working with companies to understand their long-term business goals and aligning them with the network’s proposition.

He joins from International Workplace Group, where he was interim global recruitment manager. Before that, he was group talent acquisition director at Connell Groups.

Creswell also worked at Ascential for around two years as a senior talent acquisition manager for EMEA.

Tom Barnett, sales and recruitment director at HLPartnership, said: “Matthew brings a depth of recruitment experience that is rare in our sector, particularly at a group and strategic level.

“His understanding of both large corporate environments and adviser-led businesses will be invaluable as we continue to attract firms that want to build sustainable, well-run advice businesses. This appointment further strengthens our commitment to thoughtful, long-term recruitment rather than volume for volume’s sake.”

Creswell added: “HLPartnership has built a strong reputation for supporting advisers properly, both professionally and commercially. Having worked extensively in recruitment across financial services and large organisations, I was drawn to the network’s focus on quality, culture and long-term outcomes.

“I am looking forward to working with firms across the South and supporting advisers who want to grow with confidence.”

HLPartnership has been adding to its recruitment team recently, bringing on Scott McAllister as senior recruitment manager in September.
