Hampshire Trust Bank hires development finance senior portfolio manager
Specialist lender Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) has appointed Herbie Bone as senior portfolio manager in its development finance division.

In his role, Bone will look after brokers in the South Wales and M4 corridor, keeping them up to date with products and processes and providing feedback on lending decisions.

He joins the firm from Monmouthshire Building Society where he worked for around three years, most recently as commercial relationship manager.

Before that, he worked at Enterprise for over a year.

Lorenzo Satchell, head of sales for bridging finance at HTB, said: “It’s great to have Herbie on board at Hampshire Trust Bank. A native of South Wales and with business development experience in the region, he’s ideally positioned to support his brokers with their bridging applications.

“Our bridging team is going from strength to strength as we aim to increase our market share this year; brokers will find our product and service proposition to be stronger than ever.”

Bone added: “I am delighted to be joining HTB at such an exciting time during the relaunch of its bridging proposition. Representing a very strong brand, coupled with working alongside colleagues with established reputations, further enhances the likelihood of our success within the bridging space.

“There are some exceptional broker firms within South Wales and the M4 corridor that I am excited to work with in order to maximise the opportunities for all parties involved. I am particularly looking forward to enhancing the HTB bridging proposition within my area through education on our systems, processes and being accessible to my brokers.”

HTB has been growing its team, recently hiring two development finance lending directors and hiring Alex McMillen as business development manager for bridging.
