The Brightstar Group is marking International Women’s Day with a series of activities and events under the theme #EmbraceEquity.
The events aim to raise understanding and awareness around the difference between equity and equality. They will also focus on issues faced by women in the workplace and how these can act as barriers to career development and progress.
This will cover relationship breakdown, pregnancy, parenting, menopause and women’s health issues. The session on menopause will contribute towards a framework of good practice across the Brightstar Group.
Everyone at Brightstar will take part in the events to support the group’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Clare Jupp (pictured), group director of people development at The Brightstar Group, said: “The group continues to place a huge emphasis on diversity and inclusion in its entirety and our observance of International Women’s Day is a key event in our ongoing commitment to this.
“We continue to focus on issues that are potential barriers for progress and which can affect a positive work experience. A topic of particular interest this year will be the menopause and the planning of a framework to support women as they navigate their way through this challenging experience.”
