Specialist lender SDKA has appointed James Holehouse (pictured) as its sixth underwriter in preparation for a busier year.

He joins from real estate investment firm Salboy, where he was development manager for around six years.

He will work with both brokers and direct applicants from application through to completion, and deal with surveyors and legal professionals to ensure the efficient completion of every deal.

At SDKA, Holehouse will report to Alex Swan, deputy head of underwriting.

Kunal Mehta, managing director of SDKA, said: “Service is everything, and to constantly meet our service level agreements we need a team that is focused on people. That means putting yourselves in every clients’ shoes to understand their needs and then surpass their expectations.

“James has a proven track record in the specialist finance market and a personality that fits right in with the SDKA ethos. He will be a huge advantage to the team as we look forward to a busy 2026.”
