Pallas Capital, the Australian non-bank lender, has appointed Samantha Dance to its origination team, further strengthening its UK presence following the firm’s successful launch into the market earlier this year.

Dance’s arrival marks a period of significant growth for the lender. In the four months since launching into the UK non-bank lending market, Pallas Capital has rapidly scaled its front-end operations, and Dance joins a specialised origination team of six.

At launch, Pallas Capital said the proposition aimed to “support borrowers at every stage of the property lifecycle, including acquisition, development, refinancing and transitional assets”.

It added that there was an “an emphasis on speed, certainty of execution and tailored structuring”.

Pallas Capital entered the UK with “significant funding” already in place. This includes a forward-flow agreement locked in with a major US credit fund, a securitised warehouse with a Wall Street investment bank close to completion, and substantial Australian high-net-worth (HNW) capital available for deployment.

In her new role, Dance will work alongside Mark Witherington, Phil Mabb, Anna Thompson, Archie Dickinson and Hunter Casey, and the wider credit team to support intermediaries and expand the lender’s footprint.

Ben Keenan, executive director at Pallas Capital, said Dance brought “a huge amount of technical expertise”.

“What really sets her apart is how approachable and easy she is to work with,” he added.

Most recently, Dance spent nearly six years at Glenhawk as a business development manager (BDM), where her impact on the specialist lending sector was recognised with a shortlisting for BDM of the Year at the Bridging & Commercial (B&C) Awards. Prior to this, she served as regional development manager at Together, where she was instrumental in building an extensive distribution network and managing complex transactions from inception to completion.

Ben Keenan said her deep understanding of bridging, buy to let (BTL), and commercial mortgages, combined with a decade of foundational experience at Barclays, made her an ideal fit for the Pallas Capital model. She complements the team’s existing technical depth with a solution-oriented approach and a proven track record of helping intermediaries navigate the lending landscape.

Dance said she takes “genuine pride in turning property ambitions into reality”.

“There is nothing quite like the buzz of seeing a deal complete knowing I’ve played a part in that journey. Pallas Capital has quickly made a name for itself in the UK for its certainty of execution and disciplined approach. I am thrilled to join a team that shares my drive for finding solutions and providing brokers with the confidence they need to deliver for their clients,” she added.
