Mortgage industry teams up on £1.65m BTL deal
A broker, distributor and lender have completed a £1.65m commercial deal in North Wales.

IM Mortgage Consultancy director Ian Moore introduced his client, a limited company wishing to refinance a residential buy-to-let property, to mortgage distributor 3mc. The portfolio comprised multi-units on a single freehold title. 3mc then contacted Aldermore, which agreed to fund the deal.

Moore said: “Placing larger deals of this type can be a real challenge for brokers and 3mc played an invaluable role in identifying Aldermore as the right home for this application. We worked closely with the client’s accountants and having them on-side was really important.”

Aldermore, which posted a 77.4% lending increase in 2012, indicated its further appetite to lend with an expansion in Scotland announced for June.

Aldermore commercial mortgages managing director Rob Lankey said: “Commercial loan applications can be complicated, but with the right expertise and support from both brokers and distributors there are no reasons why these type of cases cannot successfully go through to completion.”
