Just Mortgages hires Cuthbert as Midlands sales manager for self-employed division
National broker firm Just Mortgages has appointed Andy Cuthbert (pictured) to the role of sales manager for the Midlands to continue the expansion of its self-employed division.

Cuthbert will work closely with 30 advisers in the region, with the possibility for more as the division expands.

He will offer guidance and support, and help advisers grow their skill set and explore opportunities to grow their business. He will also offer advisers compliance support.

Cuthbert joins from Smart Advice Financial Solutions where he worked for nearly five years as sales director then group sales director.

Prior to that, he was managing director at Dot Financial Services for around a year and before that was divisional mortgage services director at Connells Group for around four years.

Before that, he was financial services sales director at Just Mortgages for around three years.

Carl Parker, national director at Just Mortgages added: “Since launching the self-employed division, our aim has been to provide our advisers with the necessary infrastructure around them to make a real success of it.

“By expanding our team and increasing the knowledge base within the division, not only can we continue that principle but we can be more targeted in the level of support we provide.”

He added: “It’s great to welcome Andy back to the team, who will be a valuable resource to advisers in the region. We believe we offer a fantastic proposition to those looking to go self-employed, whether it’s through support running the business, improving and developing skills or expanding licence options to increase income streams. We are firm believers that going it alone doesn’t mean being alone.”

Cuthbert said: “I am really excited to be back at Just Mortgages and working within such an impressive part of the business. When the opportunity came up, it felt like a natural fit and something to investigate further.

“It’s great to be able to use my experience and work closely with Just Mortgages’ ambitious advisers to provide the support they need to reach their full potential.”

He continued: “The change in the business over the last ten years has been amazing, with the launch and massive expansion of the self-employed division.

“Just Mortgages does a fantastic job of supporting its self-employed advisers and making the journey as painless as possible. The team is clear in its ambitions to expand the division and I am thrilled to be playing my part in that.”

The company recently pledged to grow its self-employed division to more than 1,000 advisers, and has been growing its team with five new regional directors to “provide the necessary structure for future expansion”.

The self-employed division is set to reach 500 advisers later this year.
