Tucker becomes CEO of The Mortgage Mum as co-founder Lewis steps down
Sarah Tucker, co-founder of The Mortgage Mum, is now chief executive following the departure of co-founder Jamie Lewis.

The business was previously owned by Lewis and Tucker under an equal partnership.

The Mortgage Mum was launched in 2018 as a way to encourage women to join the mortgage advice sector.

The firm has given opportunities to more than 50 women under Tucker and Lewis’ leadership and attracted new talent into the profession while demonstrating the opportunities for women.

The firm completed £200m of lending last year and has won multiple industry awards and appeared on TV shows including ITV’s This Morning, Sky News and BBC News.

At the end of last year, the firm expanded into the specialist sector with the launch of its specialist mortgage advice arm.

Lewis, who is also managing director of advice firm Affinity Mortgages, said: “I am so proud to have been part of this, and watching these incredible ladies build their businesses has been nothing short of amazing. I will always be a huge champion of The Mortgage Mum, and a continued source of support if Sarah or the team ever needed me. Sarah and I will remain the closest of friends, and I am incredibly proud to see her fly her wings.

“The Mortgage Mum is in very safe hands with her.”

Tucker added: “We both knew that when the time was right, I would take over the business in full, and that time is now. I will always be incredibly grateful to Jamie for seeing our vision and helping to bring it to life.

“Without him, we wouldn’t be where we are today.”

She added: “I am so excited to lead The Mortgage Mum into the future now, and we have so many amazing projects we are working on. This is a very exciting time for us.”
