Bridging lender, Bridging Finance Solutions (BFS) has appointed Sue Barron to its business development team, to manage the Midlands area.

Ms Barron joins the firm following a 39-year career with Nat West, where she was most recently business and commercial manager.

She said: “Through the years at NatWest, I’ve created some fantastic contacts among brokers and of course those that work in-house for the larger financial institutions. I see my role at BFS to educate those that I feel could benefit from bridging and ensure they understand how and when it could and should be used. Finance is no longer a one size fits all offering – there are alternative options available that can support a wider deal or transaction and people are becoming increasingly switched on to this.”

Steve Barber, managing director of Bridging Finance Solutions, said: “The appointment of Sue is a real coup for us. She is a well-respected figure in banking and has vast knowledge of the sector. We are aiming for geographical coverage in terms of business development at BFS in the coming two years and this latest development takes us a step further in achieving this.”
