Mark Posniak quits Octopus Property
Mark Posniak, managing director of Octopus Property, formerly know as Dragonfly Property Finance, has resigned from his position to pursue another venture within the same sector.

Matt Smith, director of risk and recoveries, will also be leaving the business. Mario Berti, head of Octopus Property, will continue to lead the team.

Berti said: “Mark and Matt will leave with our very best wishes. They have helped us to build a team of over 40 experienced lending professionals and lay the foundations for the long-term success of Octopus Property. We would like to thank them both for all their hard work over the years and wish them the very best for the future.”

He added: “Having lent over £2.2bn to date, Octopus Property has gone from strength to strength in the specialist lending market.

“Following our recent rebrand, we are looking to the future and will continue to deliver the same market leading service from the same outstanding team across an ever broadening range of products as we grow the business.”

Posniak would not comment on the exact nature of his new venture but said it was in the property finance sector. He is now on gardening leave.
