Cheadle-based specialist lender Together lent over £298m in October, bringing its total loan book to £8bn.

This lending figure compares to £309.9m in October 2024, but a spokesperson said this shows it is “supporting greater volumes of clients with smaller loans where needed in the current climate”.

Together said the lending had been delivered across a “diverse range of products”, and it had completed 1,611 loans in a single month. This surpasses its previous record of 1,605 loans in October last year.

The lender noted that 681 transactions come from unregulated bridging, equal to around 42%.

Together added that it had completed 377 buy-to-let (BTL) loans and 208 first charge loans. This accounted for 23% and 13% of total loans for the month respectively.

Ryan Etchells (pictured), chief commercial officer at Together, said: “Despite facing a difficult and turbulent market, Together continues to go from strength to strength. Achieving a new record for monthly loan completions is an impressive milestone, and a testament to the dedication and expertise of our incredible team.

Our common-sense approach to lending means we look beyond the numbers to understand each customer’s unique circumstances, and we work to find the right solution for every case.

“This record-breaking month is more than just a number; it’s a reflection of the trust our customers place in us and the positive impact we’re making across the UK.”

Earlier this year, in an exclusive interview with Specialist Lending Solutions, Tanya Elmaz, managing director of intermediary sales at Together, said the company was looking to double its loan book in the next five years.

She added that key growth areas would be bridging, BTL and commercial.
