Knowledge Bank is a mortgage criteria search platform that aims to help brokers place cases more easily and efficiently.
The system allows users to search across multiple criteria categories and compare lender requirements. Altogether, this helps streamline case placement and support better customer outcomes.
The BDLA has been growing its member base, bringing on Pallas Capital and SNM Bridging Finance as members in this month alone.
The trade body has also appointed Tanya Elmaz, Together’s managing director of intermediary sales, as a board member.
The BDLA has 55 lender members, representing a collective loan book of more than £13.7bn, and said it will continue to grow its membership and influence.

Adam Tyler, CEO of the BDLA, said: “We are delighted to welcome Knowledge Bank as the 100th member [of] the BDLA. Reaching 100 members across lenders and associates is a big achievement and an important milestone.
“When I first collected data for the bridging industry in 2005, we measured the market at around £300m. The latest data from the BDLA members is closer to £14bn, which is a real credit to everyone who has been involved over that period and, as we all know, it is still growing.
“The role of data and technology in supporting brokers, improving efficiency and strengthening decision-making across the sector is also growing. Associate members play a valuable role in our ecosystem, and we look forward to Knowledge Bank’s contribution as we continue to promote best practice and strengthen our sector’s voice.”
Shane Chawatama, sales director at Knowledge Bank, said: “We’re really pleased to join the BDLA as an associate member and delighted to become the hundredth member of this growing trade association. The BDLA provides a strong platform for collaboration and for sharing insight that supports the industry’s continued growth and evolution.
“With our imminent move to add development finance as the eighth lending type available to brokers, the timing couldn’t be better. We’re happy that we can align ourselves with a trade body that represents such an important part of the specialist property finance market and look forward to engaging with members and contributing to the work the association is doing.”
