She joins from GRE Capital, where she was responsible for leading the lender’s debt origination, and brings extensive experience in the structured real estate finance sector.
Grimes also worked at Octopus Capital for over six years and is a qualified chartered surveyor.
Grimes is the first origination director to be appointed by Glenhawk for its structured real estate division, and her recruitment reflects the business’ growth and its plans to expand further.
At Glenhawk, Grimes will support the lender in growing its proposition to reach more brokers and clients.
She will report directly to Chris Daly, managing director of structured real estate at Glenhawk.

Grimes (pictured) said: “I’m excited to be joining Glenhawk at a pivotal moment in its growth. The team has already established a strong reputation for delivering creative, bespoke solutions for complex and high-value requirements, but what really stood out to me was the ambition to push those standards even further.

Daly added: “Clare’s appointment marks a significant milestone for our structured real estate business. As our first origination director, she brings deep market knowledge, strong broker relationships and a proven ability to structure complex transactions at scale.
