United Trust Bank (UTB) has appointed Rebecca Walton as a business development manager (BDM) to cover the North for its new asset finance brand, Stance Asset Finance.

This comes ahead of the brand’s launch to UTB’s Founders Club and follows the recent appointments of Cherrice Baffana as broker manager and Alex Fowler as broker development manager.

Walton has worked in financial services and asset finance for around a decade and spent the last five years at Haydock Finance in operational and sales roles.

She was most recently the regional broker manager in its sales team.

Walton will use her experience to support the launch of Stance Asset Finance, growing business volumes and developing relationships with brokers in the North of England.

Nathan Mollett, head of Stance Asset Finance, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Rebecca to the Stance Asset Finance team, joining Alex Fowler in the field sales team and Cherrice Baffana in internal sales. Rebecca’s experience and great relationships with brokers in the North of England will help us to get Stance off to a fantastic start in a region where UTB has already built an excellent reputation for competitive products and great service.

“With our launch to Founders Club members coming very soon, we are still looking for talented and enthusiastic salespeople and underwriters who will make Stance really stand out from the crowd.”

Walton (pictured) added: “Excitement is really building in the Stance team as we’re within days of launching the new business to Stance Founders Club members. I’m looking forward to getting out there and introducing Stance Asset Finance to the many brokers I’ve built strong relationships with over the last few years and helping to develop the new proposition to meet the evolving needs of brokers, especially when looking for a funder with a more flexible approach to credit.”

Stance Asset Finance will be powered by UTB’s operational functions and technology, with its own dedicated sales BDM and underwriting teams.

The brand’s proposition will be aimed at clients who fall just outside of UTB’s criteria and provide finance solutions for hard assets.

It will initially launch to members of its Founders Club this month, with a wider market launch planned for the second quarter of the year.
