Faced with increased volumes and new regulation, will lenders start to price mortgages more competitively in the intermediary channel?
TenetLime managing director Gemma Harle stated at the Tenet annual conference last week that brokers should expect lenders to send extra volume through intermediary channels due to market growth and the impact of the Mortgage Market Review.
She stated: “Dual pricing, which has been here forever and will be here forever, will move in favour of the intermediary as lenders look to drive volume through that channel while they bed in the requirements under MMR.”
The latest Mortgage Solutions People’s Poll asks brokers whether they think dual pricing will swing in favour of the intermediary channel in the next six months.
