Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) has promoted Barry Ireland and Wes Baker to regional account director.

The firm said the promotions build on the career advancement programme, brought in during 2024 and led by Andrew Glasgow, sales director for specialist mortgages and bridging finance.

HTB said Ireland and Baker were promoted to regional account manager in 2024, and that in 2025, they had played a key role in helping brokers through “increasingly complex transactions”.

Ireland has been with HTB since 2024, and before that, he was a regional account manager at Castle Trust Bank for around two years. He has also held roles at Apex Bridging, The Finance Roome and Mortgage Style.

Baker joined HTB in 2021, and before that, he was a BDM at Masthaven for around four years. Prior to that, he worked at Evolution Money from 2012 to 2017 in various roles.

Baker said: “Across specialist mortgages and bridging finance, brokers are dealing with more layered portfolios and less straightforward scenarios.

“This recognition reflects the consistency and judgement required to support those cases well, and the importance of staying close to the detail on complex transactions.”

Ireland added: “Bridging finance has become far more strategic over the past year. Brokers are using it to manage transitions, unlock value and maintain momentum, not just solve short-term issues.

“This promotion recognises the work behind those conversations, and I’m looking forward to continuing that support while working closely with Andrea and Danny as we build on the progress the team has made.”

HTB said the promotions come after a “period of continued investment” in the sales team, pointing to the appointment of Danny Kiely as head of sales for specialist mortgages and bridging finance.
