Since its launch in 2021, the Mortgage Industry Mental Health Charter (MIMHC) has grown into a movement supported by more than 400 signatory organisations, collectively representing over 30,000 people working throughout the mortgage industry.
An increasing number of leading organisations have committed their support for the second MIMHC Lunch, taking place on 9 October 2026 at the Grand Connaught Rooms, London.
The event, established as one of the sector’s most important wellbeing gatherings, will bring together lenders, distributors, brokers, networks and industry partners for an afternoon dedicated to open conversation, collaboration and positive action.
The lunch provides an inclusive and alcohol-free environment, demonstrating commitment to improving mental and health and wellbeing across the mortgage and specialist finance professions.
Conversations centre on leadership, workplace wellbeing and practical steps businesses can take to better support their people.

Funds raised through sponsorship and attendance will directly support the work of the MIMHC Foundation CIC, helping to fund further mental health first aid training, educational initiatives and preventative wellbeing support throughout the industry.
The MIMHC invites additional organisations to get involved alongside some of the sector’s most recognised brands in supporting one of the industry’s most important causes.
Jason Berry, co-founder of the MIMHC and group sales director at Crystal Specialist Finance, said: “It’s incredibly encouraging to see so many respected organisations committing their support so early in our process.
“Their involvement demonstrates that mental health and wellbeing are no longer viewed as optional initiatives but as fundamental elements of building successful, sustainable businesses.
“Every organisation supporting this event is helping us create lasting change across our industry. Together, we’re investing in healthier workplaces, stronger leadership and ensuring more people know that support is available whenever they need it.”
Will Lloyd, co-founder of the MIMHC and group COO of Brightstar Financial and Sirius, added: “The momentum behind this year’s lunch reflects just how far we’ve come as an industry. I’m hugely grateful to HSBC, Virgin Money, Nottingham Building Society, Landbay, MAB and L&C for leading the way.
“Their support sends a powerful message that together we can continue breaking the stigma surrounding mental health while creating workplaces where people can genuinely thrive.”
