The session will cover:
- The growth and increased use of second charge lending.
- Commonly made mistakes when packaging second charge mortgage cases.
- How to ensure an application is submitted correctly the first time.
- How to decide when to use a packager and when to complete a case yourself.
- The similarities and differences between first and second charges.
- Why second charges can be processed and completed faster.
Second charge lending is on track to hit £1.7bn by the end of the year, with new post credit crunch lending records set in March and July, making it an increasingly vital tool in a broker’s arsenal.

Prior to being a journalist, Anna worked in ecommerce across Snow + Rock, Cycle Surgery and Runners Need websites, and before that worked at specialist financial PR firm Rostrum.
In her spare time, Anna enjoys reading, seeing live music, and cooking for friends and family. When she gets a chance, she also enjoys hiking, skiing and indoor rock climbing.
