Shawbrook and Brightstar tie up £20,000 second charge loan in nine days
Shawbrook has completed a second charge mortgage worth £20,000 within nine working days.

The client had fallen short of funds whilst in the middle of a refurbishment project to build a single storey extension on their home.

Advisers Brightstar therefore sought out Shawbrook whose application process they considered speedy and stress-free.

The case, at a loan to value (LTV) of 65 per cent, was underwritten within hours of submission and approved and ready for offer within 48 hours.

The fast turnaround was attributed to the lender communicating its requirements clearly and the broker providing all necessary documents and information in one go.

The client took time to consider whether to increase the loan amount and subsequently chose to proceed with the £20,000 originally requested.

“I was extremely pleased with the service provided by Shawbrook on this case,” said Darren Perry, head of second charge mortgages at Brightstar.

“Speed was of the essence in this situation. Our sales and marketing team, together with Brightstar, proved their talents to help the client secure the funds within the required timeframe,” added Gavin Seaholme, head of sales at Shawbrook (pictured).
