Shawbrook strengthens bridging team

Zorno will lead a team focused on larger and more complex bridging transactions, and joins Shawbrook Bank from Together Commerical where he spent 15 years mandating and providing management and support to underwriting teams.

Zorno said he wanted to “cement” Shawbrook as the lender of choice in this market by building on the lender’s strong relationships.

He added: “Shawbrook has made great leaps in the industry in the last few years, and has big growth ambitions, so I’m delighted to join at such an exciting time.

“When speaking to previous colleagues who are already at Shawbrook, they couldn’t speak highly enough of the culture and how they are made to feel like they are part of something special. This was very important to me when deciding to take on the role and I’m glad to be a part of the team.” 

Broadbridge’s appointment signals a return Shawbrook from LendInvest, where he has been a senior bridging underwriting for three years. Before that he he was a lending manager Shawbrook. Broadbridge said his role would be focused on strengthening the relationships with brokers and customers by managing loans from application through to redemption.

He said: “When I heard the vision of the bank, particularly surrounding bridging, I knew I wanted to be part of achieving its goals. Building strong relationships with customers is an aspect I have always enjoyed throughout my career and is another reason this particular role appealed to me.
