Shariah-compliant lender Gatehouse Bank has promoted two employees in its business development manager (BDM) team.

Thomas Humphreys has been made lead telephony business development manager while Tyler Sullivan has been appointed BDM.

Humphreys joined the bank in 2019 as a case manager and was then promoted to the role of telephony BDM. He has over 10 years’ experience in the financial services sector with roles as a complaints manager at Connells Group and RBS.

At Gatehouse, Humphreys will have the responsibility of building and maintaining relationships with brokers and introducers through the telephony service. He will also manage the telephony BDM team.

Humphreys said he was pleased to be promoted and take on more responsibility.

He added: “With its unique product offering and growing customer base, Gatehouse Bank continues to make strong progress. I look forward to continuing to help grow the business and help brokers with complex home finance enquiries while raising awareness of the bank’s criteria, products, and unique selling points.”

Sullivan first joined Gatehouse in 2018 as a case manager, then he moved to the sales team in 2020 as telephony BDM. In his new role, he will cover regions across the Midlands, East Anglia, the South West and the South East. He will also develop and maintain working relationships with brokers.

Sullivan said he was looking forward to taking on his new role.

He added: “I really enjoy making new connections with brokers and raising awareness of our Shariah-compliant residential property finance products. Explaining our finance structure in comparison to a conventional mortgage provides an insight to brokers and helps them view Gatehouse Bank as an excellent alternative option for many of their clients.”

Lottie Clayton, head of intermediary sales at Gatehouse Bank, said: “Thomas and Tyler are both an instrumental part of our Business Development team, and I am delighted that they have stepped up to take on these important roles.

“Their knowledge of Gatehouse Bank’s unique product proposition and strong existing intermediary relationships will be pivotal in continuing to enhance the Bank’s relationship with brokers and ultimately boost business growth.”
