Saffron’s John Eastgate joins Kent Reliance
Kent Reliance, the mutual bank, has announced that John Eastgate has joined as sales and marketing director following a move from Saffron Building Society, where he held the same role.

Eastgate said: “I’ve joined Kent Reliance at a time when the mortgage market is facing many challenges, the most significant of which is the lack of mortgage supply. It is therefore refreshing to be joining a business with such a strong commitment to growth.

“We are actively looking to partner with intermediaries and want to help good quality borrowers who may find it difficult to get a mortgage thanks to ever narrowing criteria in the marketplace. I look forward to delivering value for Kent Reliance, intermediaries and borrowers alike.”

Kent Reliance chief executive, Andy Golding added: “We are committed to organic growth of our mortgage book and I believe that John’s appointment demonstrates that.”

Prior to joining Kent Reliance, Eastgate spent five years at Experian, the global information services business and ten years at Barclays.
